One click launches a disposable, browser-only WordPress demo site for demos, testing, and training. Nothing touches your live site.

== Description ==

Lookit Design Playground adds a one-click "Launch demo site" button to your WordPress admin. It opens a fresh WordPress instance in your browser using WordPress Playground (WebAssembly) — no server, no setup — pre-filled with a complete Lookit Design sample site. The demo resets when you close the tab.

The sample site includes a home page, four service pages (design and build, content and search, hosting and security, accessibility and compliance), an about page, a contact page, and six blog posts, with a primary navigation menu and a matching stylesheet applied.

Use it to:

* Show a client or teammate what a Lookit site looks like, without spinning up hosting.
* Try a theme, a block layout, or a setting in a throwaway environment.
* Train someone on WordPress without any risk to a real site.

No plugins are installed in the demo — it is a clean WordPress with content and styling only.

Options: choose PHP and WordPress versions, and choose whether to land on the home page or the dashboard.

== External Services ==

This plugin relies on the WordPress Playground service to run the demo site.

* **WordPress Playground (playground.wordpress.net)** — When you click "Launch demo site," your browser opens a URL at playground.wordpress.net containing a generated blueprint. The blueprint describes the WordPress version, the Astra theme to install from WordPress.org, and the built-in demo content and stylesheet to create. Playground uses this to build the in-browser site. No data is sent until you click "Launch demo site."

  * Privacy Policy: https://wordpress.org/about/privacy/

* **Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com)** — The demo site's stylesheet requests two web fonts (Archivo and IBM Plex Sans) from Google Fonts. This request is made by the demo site running inside your browser, not by your own WordPress installation, and only after you launch a demo. A fallback font stack is used if the request fails.

== Changelog ==

= 0.6.0 =
* Rebuilt the demo site around Lookit Design's actual services: design and build, content and search, managed hosting and security, and accessibility and compliance. Replaces the generic SEO/PPC agency content.
* New "Grid" visual direction — hairline service grid, Archivo display type, teal accents — delivered as a stylesheet injected into the demo site's Additional CSS instead of inline block styles.
* Six new blog posts on accessibility, privacy, hosting, local search, and Google Ad Grants; posts now carry publication dates.
* Adds a primary navigation menu and a "Notes" blog index page.
* No plugins are installed in the demo site.

= 0.5.3 =
* Simplified to always use the Astra theme; removed the theme picker.

= 0.5.2 =
* Home hero now explains the site is a disposable example for testing, instead of the agency marketing copy.

= 0.5.1 =
* Sample site now branded "Lookit Design Playground" throughout; home page title and site name updated to match.

= 0.5.0 =
* Refocused as a demo-site launcher. Ships a realistic multi-page Lookit Design sample site (ported from the internal launcher script) and drops the clone/page-picker flow. Theme and environment selection retained; WordPress.org theme slugs are verified before launch.
