Most consent banners look bolted on. This one does not. Color pickers control the accent, background and text; an optional logo sits at the top; and the body text accepts HTML, so you can link your privacy policy inline. Button labels for Accept, Reject and Customize are all editable too.
Everything is set from Settings, Cookie Consent in wp-admin, and an admin Preview button shows the live popup before it reaches visitors. So you tune the look once, confirm it, and publish, without touching a theme file.
Different sites want different footprints. A full-width Panel suits content sites; a compact Small card with stacked buttons fits busy layouts; and a minimal Corner pill shows a one-line strip that expands to the full card when a visitor clicks Customize.
All three share the same consent and recording logic; only the layout changes. Granular sale, sharing and targeted-advertising toggles stay tucked behind Customize in every style, so the first impression stays clean while the detail is one click away.
When a visitor accepts or rejects, the plugin records the choice to iubenda's Consent Database through the public API. It captures the overall consent, the granular preference selections, a subject identifier and the visitor IP, giving you a defensible, timestamped record of who agreed to what.
The call is proxied server-side through WordPress, so the request is made cleanly from the server rather than exposed in page JavaScript. Nothing is sent until a visitor actually interacts with the popup, and nothing is sent at all if no iubenda key is configured, so the popup still works as a plain cookie banner on its own.
The popup is keyboard accessible out of the box: pressing Escape rejects, and the layout reflows cleanly on mobile. That covers the accessibility and device basics without extra configuration.
It also survives aggressive optimization. On sites running WP Rocket's "Remove Unused CSS", inline style blocks are normally stripped, which can leave a consent popup rendering unstyled in the footer. This plugin registers the right exclusions automatically, so positioning and appearance hold up with no WP Rocket setup on your side.
