Most media plugins do just one job. Media Master, by contrast, brings four tools together under a single admin screen: an Image Resizer and Compressor, a Media Library Resizer, an Alt Text Manager, and a Title Manager. So you can fix, shrink, and label images in one place, instead of juggling several plugins.
Better still, every tab reads as one worklist. For example, each image shows at-a-glance chips for missing alt text, filename-based titles, and how many posts use it. As a result, you can spot the images that actually need attention first, then act on them without leaving the screen.
Large images slow pages down and hurt your rankings. The Image Resizer fixes that in the browser, before the file ever reaches your server. First, pick a preset or save your own, such as "Blog hero" at 1600px. Then Media Master resizes and compresses the image, and it never upscales.
You also see the payoff up front. For example, each card previews the projected saving, roughly 498 KB down to 110 KB when you go from 2560px to 1200px, plus a running total for the whole selection. Because it works on the Media Library too, you can re-process images that are already uploaded, with an optional one-time backup of each original.
Missing alt text hurts both SEO and accessibility. So the Alt Text Manager surfaces every image without it, and then you can fix them fast. You can type alt text by hand, pull it in bulk from post titles, or generate it automatically from the image itself.
The AI option reads the actual picture with a vision model on Amazon Bedrock, so the alt text describes what is really there. Crucially, no AWS keys ever live in WordPress. Instead, the plugin sends the image to the Lookit platform, which then handles the AI call and returns the text.
Media Master also converts images to WebP for you. When you choose the WebP output, it saves each resized image as a brand-new .webp copy and copies the alt text across. Meanwhile, it leaves the originals untouched, so your existing URLs never break.
The Title Manager then tidies up your filenames. First, it detects WordPress's default filename-based titles, such as "IMG_4821", so you can find and replace them in bulk. After that, you can auto-title from the filename, edit titles by hand, or let AI generate them straight from the image.
The AI features are entirely opt-in. In fact, nothing calls out anywhere until you set your Lookit AI endpoint in Settings and trigger a generation yourself. So the plugin runs perfectly well as a pure resize-and-alt-text tool, with no AI at all.
When you do enable AI, the plugin stays a thin client. It sends only the selected image, your prompt, and your site name and URL to the Lookit platform, which then calls AWS Bedrock. As a result, you manage no provider accounts, and the plugin stores nothing sensitive in your site.
